Welcome to Happy Days Day Nursery at Bodmin.

Happy Days is a Children's Centre, which is based on the grounds of Berrycoombe CP School within the vicinity of the Camel Trail.

The Nursery has unlimited access to the large school field and adventure playground and is surrounded by beautiful scenery, which the children and staff benefit from throughout the year.

Our Nursery has a dedicated, enthusiastic and caring team that is led by an Enhanced manager.

The nursery is broken down into four rooms - Baby Room, Tiddler Room, Toddler and Wrap Around Room and The Early Years Unit.

"Baby Room" The baby room is a fun, bright and colourful room where the babies enjoy a variety of stimulating activities designed especially to develop their needs. The room is designed for babies aged 3 months to a year old.

"Tiddler Room" The Tiddler Room is a bright large open room just right for those children just starting to become mobile. The room is designed for children between 1 and 2 years old.

"Toddler and Wrap Around Room" The Toddler Room is a spacious area which provides fun packed activities including role play, water and sand play, creative activities and lots of outside play. The room is designed for children aged 2 to 4 years old.

"Early Years Unit" The Early Years Unit is situated within the school and is headed by our qualified Early Years teacher. We run Grant funded sessions twice a day for all 3 and 4 year olds. Learning is based around play and the 6 areas of learning - Communication, Language and Literacy, Numeracy, Knowledge and Understanding of the World, Creative Development, Physical Development and Personal, Social and Emotional Development.

We also have a Pirates Club for children from aged 4 years, which runs after school every day and during the school holidays. The club is packed with a range of activities both fun and educational and the children also enjoy trips every week during the holidays.

Here at Happy Days we pride ourselves on eating healthily and all the children enjoy a wide variety of healthy meals, prepared and cooked in our kitchen.

We believe that all children should have access to fresh fruit and vegetables every day. At morning and afternoon snack we try different types of freshly prepared fruit and vegetables along with milk, fresh juices and water.

At lunchtime the children particularly enjoy eating homemade cooked meals such as spaghetti Bolognese, casseroles and cottage pie.

This is shown through our last OFSTED inspection where we gained an Outstanding for Helping Children to be Healthy.
