Our nursery is one of the smaller nurseries in the Happy Days family throughout Cornwall and Devon.

The nursery itself is set in the grounds of Jacobstow primary school, which itself is situated in the middle of picturesque farmland. We have full use of all the school facilities, which include the field and wildlife area, which back onto the nursery.

We take full advantage of this and frequently visit these areas, as they are only a stones throw away from the nursery. The surroundings are beautiful and attract all sorts of wildlife and insects, we often have dragon flies passing by our garden, birds stopping for a mid-morning snack at the bird feeder and practice our counting skills by seeing how many cows we can see in the field.

We feel that it is important for the children to benefit fully from such wonderful surroundings and ensure that their knowledge of the world around us is developed on and used as much as possible when planning learning opportunities. It is one of our many strong points as we also bring nature into the nursery with pets such as goldfish, stick insects and Giant African snails!

Our nursery has two rooms, one for the under two's which has a very caring room supervisor who provides a warm and loving atmosphere for our younger children and one for the two to four year olds. .The nursery has a real family feel to it and all children interact well together. We cater for twenty-four children at any one session. We have our own kitchen and all meals are prepared freshly on site.

We invite input from both the children and parents to keep our menus healthy and enjoyable.

All staff are qualified and have certificates in paediatric first aid, food hygiene and health and safety. All staff attend regular training in varied areas to ensure the most up to date care and education is given to all our children who are extremely important to us.

Both the children and staff treat the nursery as a second home. We all enjoy our fun days and are proud of our lovely nursery and feel that we provide the highest quality of care in a fantastic environment. We look forward to welcoming you.
