Summercourt Happy Days is based in the small community of Summercourt on the grounds of the local primary school and is a twominute drive away from the A30, which makes it a great central location for most of Cornwall; the main surrounding towns are Newquay, St Austell and Truro.

Summercourt nursery is a 24 place nursery divided into two rooms; an under 2's room and a toddler and Pre-school room.

We have fully qualified fun loving staff that will make your child's day one to remember! All staff within the under 2's room have undergone numerous EYFS training sessions and that shows as they implement it within their planning on a daily basis. We know it can be hard leaving your child for the first time at nursery so the room supervisor will make sure that your child's settling in session is as smooth, fun and engaging as possible ensuring that details about your child's session are reported back to you. The room has a cosy and secure feel to it and staff take pride in their room which also offers a sleep area.

Our Toddler/Pre-school room caters for children from 2 to 5 years old. At Happy Days we also provide free Government Grant funded pre-school sessions where fully qualified staff deliver the foundation stage curriculum through planned and free play activities. Our pre- school supervisor has knowledge and experience with working and delivering the six areas of learning and also EYFS framework. All staff in this room are caring and committed and I am confident that your child will come home telling you about lots of exciting things they have done that day. This can range from singing songs accompanied by musical instruments to playing outside with the sand or water or showing you their painting on one of our colourful wall displays.

Outdoor play is important to us and we like to venture out to our garden as much as possible to enable the children to benefit from the fresh air. We also take full advantage of being able to use the school playing field, which is a lovely space for the children to be active in. We also like picking blackberries in the summer months to
make tasty puddings! All staff at Summercourt nursery have been police checked have obtained their CRB and have training in First aid, food hygiene and health and safety; additional training courses are also held throughout the year. We cook all our food on the premises and we promote a Healthy menu, even the babies have our food blended down for them to enjoy with their friends!
