Penrice Happy Days is a well-established nursery, located on the Eastern edge of St Austell, just off the A390, which is the main artery road between Plymouth, Lostwithiel and Truro. The Nursery is situated in the landscaped grounds of St Austell Community Hospital, where it enjoys a view of Agricultural land and St Austell town, set against the dramatic back drop of the china clay's industrial landscape in the background.

Penrice Happy Days is a building that boasts a comfortable, safe, secure, child friendly environment, which is fully inclusive in its design. Its features and services are as follows:

Penrice Happy Days staff are professional, well experienced, settled team, who attend regular training courses to keep upto-date with new policies and procedures in the ever changing rules and regulations relating to early years settings. The team consists of 22 members of staff, who are qualified or are working towards a qualification. Staff are police checked and assessed on suitability before being allowed to work with the children.

Happy Days Penrice has 5 well-sized rooms, which are bright, vibrant, stimulating environments,
where the children's artwork is displayed with pride.

These are:
• 1 baby room for ages 3months - 12months.
• 1 Tiddler room for ages 12months - 2 years.
• 1 toddler room for ages 2years - 3 years.
• 2 pre-school rooms for ages 3years and up.

The rooms are child friendly, where children are encouraged to develop through playing and having fun.  In all rooms there are the following attributes that are essential to your child's development:

• Home corners, where children engage in role play in a simulated part of a house, such as a kitchen
• Messy play areas, where its fun to get messy
• Quiet story zones,
• Sensory zone, exploring though touching, feeling, listening and smelling.

Children are provided with healthy snacks in the morning and mid-afternoon with a hot meal and pudding at lunchtime. These are prepared in our kitchen with fresh and healthy produce under our Healthy Eating policies. Special dietary requirements are also catered for.
