The Nursery is a 45 place setting consisting of 4 rooms for children aged from birth to five years of age. The building is purpose built with 4 rooms that all lead off from our reception hall which is a very informative area and holds parents information boards latest health news and lovely displays of the children's work for all to see.
The Baby Room caters for 3 babies aged from 3 months. The environment is warm, relaxed and homely with room for the babies to play, crawl, roll, sleep and eat.
The baby's individual needs are constantly met and their routines followed. The babies have the opportunity to access the outside garden and we like this to be as often as possible.
The Tiddler room can hold up to 12 children aged 1-2 years. The environment is bright spacious and cosy and has room for the children to play freely, eat, sleep and participate in learning opportunities. The room has a routine where by the children learn to know what is coming up next, e.g. snacks, Creative activities outdoor play etc ensuring that the child's individual needs are still met.
The Toddler room holds up to 14 children. The room is warm and spacious where the children can play freely, join in with the planned learning opportunities, access toys, equipment and toilet facilities, children can also rest or sleep if required. The children have instant access to the garden area and free flow is available in fine weather.
The birth to three framework is implemented in to the baby, Tiddler and Toddler rooms and all children have a key person who is responsible for the child's individual assessments and observations. They are available for parents to discuss their child's progress with and give advice and guidance if needed. Also your child's day is recorded in a special report book or sheet for you to read through giving details on sleeps, feeds, nappy changes and play times.
The Pre-School room can hold up to 16 children. The room is set up to ensure the 6 areas of learning are consistently assessable to the children through out the day. The foundation stage curriculum is planned into the children's routine and children can receive free grant funded sessions which are available for five 2 ½ hour sessions which can be used at times convenient to you. Children have instant access to the outside garden area and free flow is available in good weathers.
Toilet facilities are available in the room and cosy book corners are appealing for story times and times of rest.
Come and see us, we feel you will love our nursery as much as we do.
