Treloweth nursery is part of the Happy Days family, we operate from the grounds of Treloweth School and have a fantastic purpose built 80-place nursery. My name is Vicki and I have managed the nursery since we opened in March 2004 and have worked in day nurseries for ten years.

Our nursery offers a very homely warm and welcoming baby room for up to 6 children from 3 months of age, which is run by Nicky a very caring, qualified and experienced room supervisor. The babies are given lots of opportunities for exploratory and messy play in a happy environment and all their individual routines and needs are met on a daily basis.

Our tiddler room accommodates 12 children under 2 years of age, this room is run by Sue who has had many years experience working with children of all ages. Our tiddler room is a very exciting and bright place to have lots of fun. The EYFS framework is followed giving the children various opportunities to learn through play with a holistic approach.

Jo, A qualified room supervisor who is full of fantastic ideas and motivation runs our toddler room. The room is always buzzing with activities and lots to do.

Our Pre-school is run by Hannah, who has had many years experience with children of all ages, mainly 3 - 5 year olds. This room is where the education is implemented during term time, and a very structured routine is in place. Children enjoy learning simple key skills such as mark making, putting on their own coats, and pouring their own milk at snack and basic literacy and numeric activities, which will prepare them for the next step onto 'Big school'.

We also run a pirates club before and after school, and during all the school holidays. Catering for children aged 5 - 11 years of age. Lots of fun activities and outings are planned, and the weekly planning is also done with the children to allow their ideas and interests to be included.

One of our finest qualities is our lovely outdoor area. All of the children have instant access to this area from every room within the nursery and over the last twelve months we have strived to make it a fabulous place to play, we still have many ideas which we will be implementing to further progress our beautiful garden.

I feel that our nursery is fantastic, we pride ourselves on achieving an outstanding Ofsted result and have every intention of keeping hold of that, the quality of care that we provide the children is never compromised as it is our main objective, however we are always looking for ideas to improve our services which will be an ongoing project.

We offer the children fantastic food, which is all home cooked and prepared freshly on the premises daily and fresh fruit and milk is offered at least twice a day.

At Treloweth we offer an open door policy to all of our parents, I think that it is one of our strongest qualities, the staff have fantastic relationships with the parents and everyone is very approachable and friendly. A happy parent and child make a fantastic nursery and a thoroughly enjoyable place to work.
